ABSTRACT
The new voucher system has been launched recently to provide better services for the impaired children. The specific regulation, control, and modification were needed in several areas in the current voucher system. Audiologic service should be considered as one of the key areas in this social service. Most developed countries has established and provided the hearing impaired children with the hearing service programs or audiology services through past transitional periods. In their programs, audiologists were indicated as key human resources and coordinators who could effectively manage the individuals with hearing disabilities. Thus, related parties and government needed to pay attention to the continued researches and supports on successful voucher system that included major disabilities. For these purposes, the article briefly reviewed the representative service programs in the US, Canada, Europe, and Australia and suggested a prospective audiologic service model in the social service section in Korea for the successful voucher system establishment.
