ABSTRACT |
Most commercial companies currently produced non-programmable digital hearing aids. The key feature of this hearing aids was
adopting the WDRC amplification method in ITE (in-the-ear) type hearing aids. They were equipped with the 2-3 trimmers and
could be controlled for gain levels, frequency response curves, or OSPL90 properties. The price of the non-programmable hearing
aid was relatively lower than programmable ones while the noise reduction and acoustic feedback detection/control were limited in
non-programmable ones. This report was for the cases where background noise and internal noise were decreased with compression
thresholds in non-programmable digital hearing aids without noise reduction algorithms or expansion functions, which were commonly
built in programmable digital hearing aids. |
